HicoSoft was founded in 2014 in a small 20 m² garage by Hichem Bourai (Master's 1 in Intelligent Computer Systems) and Mahmoud Djaffar (Engineer in Management). HicoSoft's ultimate goal was to venture into video game development, but securing funding was necessary to bring this vision to life.

We then established a plan of objectives spanning a 10-year period:

1. Initial Phase (2014-2017): We started by specializing in the development of static and dynamic websites, software, and IT solutions, as well as mobile application creation. This first step allowed us to generate revenue for the company, completing around 200 websites over these three years.

2. Diversification (2017-2020): Next, we expanded our activities to include advertising services and network installation. The goal was to fund the development of ERP systems, primarily for the commercial and medical sectors. This process took three years.

3. Training and Video Game Prototype (2018-2021): In 2018, we began training on the Unreal Engine game engine. By 2021, we had developed a playable prototype to showcase our technical skills. This allowed us to start looking for investors and to prepare a business plan.

Despite initial unsuccessful attempts, we met Mohamed Chirifi, a collaborator who introduced us to Mr. Ali Azzouz from FAAZ Invest. He expressed interest in investing in HicoSoft, provided that we reach an agreement with the Algerian public investment fund, the Algerian Startup Fund (ASF). After numerous exchanges and an initial refusal, the ASF eventually agreed to fund our project with 20 million DA, on the condition that we create a new entity, HicoSoft Studio, and absorb the former company HicoSoft. This process took over a year and a half to finalize.

On July 1, 2024, with the entry of FAAZ Invest and ASF into our capital, HicoSoft Studio officially began developing a new RPG. The goal of this fundraising was not only to launch the game development but also to strengthen our operations and revenue while accelerating the growth of our company.

Starting with an initial capital of 20,000 DA, HicoSoft has achieved a revenue of 25 million DA. Our key clients include:

• Video Games: Development of video games and assets for game developers on mobile, console, and PC.

HicoSoft continues to grow and establish itself as a key player in the technology and video game industry in Algeria.
